The Villages
White Villages & Market Towns
The Axarquía is dotted with white villages perched on ridges and hillsides. Frigiliana, Comares, Torrox, Cómpeta — each one different, each one worth a morning. The weekly markets in Vélez-Málaga are the best place to stock up on local produce.

The Mountains
Hiking & Natural Parks
The Sierra de Tejeda y Almijara rises directly behind the finca. Trails run from the village through pine forests, limestone ridges, and river gorges. The famous Río Chillar walk starts an hour away. The Caminito del Rey is 105 minutes.

Food & Wine
Olive Oil, Muscatel & Espetos

Culture
Flamenco, History & the Alhambra
Granada is two hours. Málaga — with the Picasso Museum and a lively food scene — is forty-five minutes. Local flamenco performances happen year-round in the villages. Semana Santa in Málaga is one of the most dramatic spectacles in all of Spain.
